The session will identify and use case studies and model the use of established guidelines and facilitation protocols. This participatory workshop will model interactive techniques and activities where participants explore scenarios and potential outcomes relevant to their communities. We will explore how collections are shared; what objects open conversation; and how one might use landmarks, objects and collections to spark and facilitate conversations about race, identity, ‘hidden’ local histories, and the use of objects in constructing knowledge. Participants will engage in structured conversations and activities to share ideas, challenges and potential responses to how one might create and sustain effective inclusive learning environments.
