Creating a more inclusive cultural workforce is a central need in the field, a need outlined in the 2017 NYC Cultural Plan. This session will dive deeply into how three organizations joined forces to respond to this need and offer a new opportunity. The Museum Access Consortium’s Supporting Transition Project and The Jewish Museum will detail their experience of partnering with Job Path to create an internship for an individual with autism. Participants will hear from those who created the internship, the intern’s supervisor and job coach, and about the intern’s experience, gaining a 360 degree view of the initiative.
